Stripe: payment links in replies and verified cash
Sealrep uses your own Stripe account in two ways: it counts USD payments from people it reached first as verified cash in your results ledger, and it puts a payment link for your offer into an email reply when a buyer is ready to pay. A person approves every such reply, and Sealrep takes no cut.

One restricted key, pasted once.
- In Stripe, open Developers, API keys, and create a restricted key[1]. A full secret key is refused.
- For the revenue sync, give it read access. For payment links, also set Products, Prices and Payment Links to Write.
- Paste it in Sealrep under Settings, Connectors, Stripe.
The key is stored encrypted and never written to a log. Sealrep keeps none of Stripe's own error text either, only a short code.
What Sealrep does with your Stripe.
| Topic | What it does | Key access |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue sync | Reads your successful charges. A USD payment whose payer email is a person Sealrep reached in the 365 days before becomes verified cash in the results ledger. A refund reduces or cancels that row. | Read |
| Payment links | Makes a product, a price and a payment link for each offer in your Stripe account, and puts a per-person copy of the link into reply drafts that a person approves. | Write on Products, Prices and Payment Links |
The full rules for when a link goes into a reply are on how payment links in replies work.
What Sealrep cannot do through Stripe.
- Charge a buyer, start a subscription or issue a refund.
- Take a share of any payment. The money goes to your Stripe account.
- Count a payment in another currency in the results ledger. Those show as revenue elsewhere in the app.

Questions people ask. Answered straight.
does Sealrep need my secret key?
No. It takes a restricted key only, and refuses a full secret key.
do I need Stripe for payment links and the revenue sync both?
One restricted key covers both. Read access is enough for the revenue sync; payment links also need Write on Products, Prices and Payment Links.
which payments count as results?
USD payments from people Sealrep reached first, matched by the payer's email. Other payments are not added to the results ledger.
