Connection note checker for LinkedIn

Paste a LinkedIn connection note and this checks it against LinkedIn's 200-character limit and the rules Sealrep's own LinkedIn drafts follow: no pitch, no link, no flattery, no generic praise and no AI tells. It also checks first messages, InMail and comments. Free accounts can add a note to about three invites a month.

#checker

Check a note or a message. Before you send it.

We keep no text you paste: the check runs in memory. To stop abuse we keep a coded count of checks from your network for up to a day (a keyed hash, never your address) and a total for the day. It never connects to LinkedIn.

LinkedIn is a trademark of LinkedIn Corporation. Sealrep is not affiliated with LinkedIn, and this checker never connects to it.

#the checks

What makes a note read like a template.

  • Pitch words: book a call, we help, our platform, free trial, DM me, 15 minutes and others. A note is an introduction, not a sales email. High.
  • Flattery: came across your profile, impressive profile, big fan, love your content. Medium.
  • Generic praise: great post, thanks for sharing, so true, spot on. Say the specific thing instead. High.
  • Links: any link or bare domain. In a note or a comment it reads as promotion. High.
  • One question: a first message, an Open Profile message and an InMail ask exactly one question, and end on it.
  • Markdown: LinkedIn shows asterisks and pound signs as typed. High.
  • AI tells and dashes: the same list the cold email checker uses. High.
#inside sealrep

How Sealrep drafts on LinkedIn, and who sends.

Sealrep never holds your LinkedIn login. When you click, the side panel copies the visible text of the page you opened and sends it to Sealrep to draft a note. It never types, clicks, posts or runs in the background. You send.

Its drafts go through these same checks before you see them. The suggested pace is 10 invites a day and 60 a week.

Questions people ask. Answered straight.

what is the character limit for a LinkedIn connection note?

200 characters.[1] Free members can add a personalised note to up to three connection requests a month, and Premium members to all of them,[1] so on a free account most invites go without a note, and the ones that carry a note should count.

what is the InMail character limit?

Up to 200 characters in the subject and 1,900 in the body.[2] Sealrep's check stops at 1,000 for the body: a first InMail that long reads like a pitch.

does a connection note need a question?

No. The check does not ask for one in a note. It does for a first message after you connect, where one question you end on is easier to answer than a paragraph.

does this tool connect to LinkedIn?

No. It reads only the text you paste on this page.

do you keep what I paste?

No. The text is checked in memory and dropped. We count checks per day and nothing else.
