What does Sealrep do on LinkedIn?
Sealrep never holds your LinkedIn login. When you click, the side panel copies the visible text of the page you opened and sends it to Sealrep to draft a note. It never types, clicks, posts or runs in the background. You send.

What happens when you click.
- You open a LinkedIn page yourself: a profile, a post or a list of comments.
- You click the Sealrep icon in Chrome. That click gives the extension access to that one tab, for that one time.
- One read-only function copies the page address, its title and the visible text of its main area, up to 20,000 characters, and sends them to Sealrep.
- Sealrep drafts a connection note, a comment or a message from it, in your voice.
- You read the draft, change it if you like, copy it and send it on LinkedIn yourself.
Sealrep's servers never fetch anything from LinkedIn. Nothing runs on a page you did not click, and the extension has no access to your other tabs.
What it never does.
- Hold your LinkedIn password or session.
- Type, click, scroll, connect, like or post on LinkedIn.
- Open pages for you or run in the background.
- Send a message. You send every invitation, comment and message.
What Sealrep keeps from what you read.
Sealrep keeps the people you choose to keep, with the fields you confirm (name, role, company), their stage and your notes, inside your workspace. It keeps where someone comments as your own notes for 60 days, and ranked posts for 14 days. You can import your own connections from LinkedIn's data export as a CSV.
The pace Sealrep plans around.
Sealrep plans your LinkedIn day around 10 invitations a day and 60 in any 7 days, 15 comments a day, 20 messages a day, and 10 free messages and 10 InMails a day. It counts what you tell it you sent. It does not read your LinkedIn account to check.
LinkedIn lets free members add a personal note to up to three connection requests a month, each up to 200 characters, and Premium members to all of them[1]. Tell Sealrep which account you have, and it suggests a note or no note for each person.
LinkedIn's own rules, and your decision.
LinkedIn's User Agreement (section 8.2)[2] and its help page on prohibited software and extensions[3] set out what LinkedIn does not allow, including browser extensions that scrape or copy its pages or automate activity on its site. Read both, and decide for yourself whether this way of working fits your account. The decision is yours.
Coming soon: the side panel's listing in the Chrome Web Store. Until then, the same drafts are in the Sealrep web app.
