Sealrep vs Smartlead: unlimited mailboxes at scale, or researched emails you approve

Smartlead is cold email software for sending at scale: unlimited mailboxes and warmup on every plan, mailboxes for sale, and branded client workspaces for agencies.[1] Sealrep sends fewer, researched emails from mailboxes you already own, with nothing sent until a person approves it, and counts results from first email to cash.

#side by side

Smartlead and Sealrep, topic by topic.

Smartlead’s title is “Cold Email Software for Sales Teams That Run Outbound at Scale” and its meta promises “unlimited mailboxes & AI warmups”.[2] It prices by contacts and sends, sells Google, Outlook and SMTP mailboxes through SmartSenders, and offers whitelabel client workspaces from its Pro plan.[1] Its help center lets you “allocate a deal value to your meetings booked”.[3]

Built forSending at scale: Unlimited Prime includes 500,000 email sends a month.[1]Fewer, researched emails, each written for one company. Each mailbox ramps from 5 to 25 sends a day over 21 days, sends inside your hours and pauses itself at 3% bounces. 25 a day is the most it sends.
Mailboxes“All Smartlead plans include unlimited email accounts at no extra cost”; SmartSenders sells Google mailboxes from $4.5 a mailbox a month, Outlook from $5 and pre-warmed ones at $9.[1]Any mailbox you own that offers SMTP and IMAP: Gmail and Google Workspace with an app password (it needs 2-Step Verification), Zoho, Fastmail or your own host. Microsoft 365 mailboxes wait for Microsoft sign-in, which is coming soon, because Microsoft no longer accepts passwords for IMAP. Google sign-in is coming soon too. Sealrep does not sell or warm mailboxes.
Who writes the emailsYou write the sequence; an AI email copywriter and “SmartAgents” are offered. How their approval works is not stated on the pages we read.[1]Sealrep drafts each email for one company from your approved facts. Nothing is sent until a person approves it: one email at a time, or a whole sequence at once, with undo before each send.
What gets counted“Phase 1 of Lead Scoring lets you allocate a deal value to your meetings booked”; “At the top of each campaign’s analytics, you can easily find your top line attributed revenue.”[3]A results ledger from sent to cash, with verified, confirmed and self-reported numbers kept in separate columns that are never added together. Verified cash needs your Stripe connected.
Agencies“Whitelabeling is available as an add-on at $29/month per client workspace”, from the Pro plan up.[1]A workspace per client, three included in the Agency plan, with a console over all of them. Client logins in your name, logo and colour, with a small “Powered by Sealrep” line, on app.sealrep.com. Your own portal domain is coming soon. A client can approve their own emails from a free viewer seat.
When sending pausesNot described on its pricing page.[1]A mailbox pauses when people who asked to stop (one-click unsubscribes, “remove me”, angry or legal replies) reach 1% of its last 7 days’ sends, or 2% of a campaign’s, counted after 50 sends. This is not a spam-complaint rate. Bounces pause a mailbox at 3%.
Payment in the replyNot found on its pricing page or homepage.[1]A payment link from your own Stripe, in an email reply draft, when the buyer shows they want to buy. A person approves every reply that carries one. Sealrep takes no cut.
AI searchNot found on its pricing page.[1]Tracks how the AI engines in your plan answer your buyers’ questions and which pages they cite, and turns gaps into tasks.

#which one

Pick the one that fits how you sell.

Choose Smartlead if

  • You send cold email at high volume across many mailboxes
  • You want to buy mailboxes and warmup inside the sending tool
  • You resell cold email to clients under your own brand

Choose Sealrep if

  • You want each email researched and approved before it goes
  • You send from mailboxes you already own
  • You want a ledger that counts to cash, not a deal value typed onto a meeting
  • Your clients approve their own emails
#straight answer

What Sealrep does not do.

Sealrep sends at most 25 emails a day from each mailbox and does not sell or warm mailboxes. If your plan is volume across many inboxes, Smartlead is built for that and Sealrep is not.

Questions people ask. Answered from their pages and ours.

smartlead or Instantly?

From their pricing pages on 2 October 2026: both include unlimited mailboxes and warmup. Smartlead prices by contacts and sends (Base is $39 a month for 6,000 sends) and sells whitelabel client workspaces at $29 each; Instantly prices by emails a month (Growth is $47 for 5,000) and sells lead credits separately. We have used neither.

smartlead or Apollo?

Apollo starts from its own contact database with sequences and a dialer, priced per seat; Smartlead is a sending platform you bring lists to, priced by contacts and sends. See Sealrep vs Apollo.

how does Smartlead count revenue?

Its help center describes adding a deal value to a booked meeting from the Master Inbox, and an “attributed revenue” figure at the top of each campaign’s analytics. Sealrep’s ledger keeps verified cash (from your Stripe), confirmed and self-reported numbers apart and never adds them.
