#mailboxes

Which mailboxes can I connect?

Any mailbox you own that offers SMTP and IMAP: Gmail and Google Workspace with an app password, Zoho, Fastmail or your own host. Microsoft 365 mailboxes wait for Microsoft sign-in, which is coming soon, because Microsoft no longer accepts passwords for IMAP. One-click Google sign-in is coming soon too.

Sealrep does not sell or warm mailboxes, and it does not set up your domain. It checks your SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, and a campaign cannot start while SPF or DKIM is missing.

Why Microsoft 365 has to wait.

Sealrep reads replies over IMAP. Microsoft has switched off password sign-in for IMAP in every Exchange Online tenant, and says no one can switch it back on[2]. Passwords still work for SMTP AUTH where a tenant allows it, but at the end of December 2026 Microsoft switches that off by default for existing tenants and makes it unavailable for new ones[3].

So a Microsoft 365 mailbox needs Microsoft sign-in. It is built in Sealrep and waits on Microsoft's approval of the app. Until then, use a mailbox on another provider.

What connecting a mailbox lets Sealrep do.

  • Send the emails you approve, and file a copy in your Sent folder when your server does not do it by itself.
  • Read new mail to find replies, bounces and out-of-office notes to emails Sealrep sent. Messages are read without marking them as read.
  • Keep only mail that belongs to one of Sealrep's threads. Everything else is checked in memory and dropped, and connecting never imports your old mail.
  • Removing a mailbox deletes its sign-in details and anything of it that is not part of a live thread.

Coming soon: one-click sign-in.

  • Google sign-in instead of an app password. It waits on Google's review of Sealrep's mail access.
  • Microsoft sign-in for Microsoft 365 and Outlook. It waits on Microsoft's approval of the app.

Questions people ask. Answered straight.

how many mailboxes can I connect?

Your plan sets the number, shown in the table on this page and on the pricing page. Each mailbox has its own ramp and its own daily cap.

should I send from my main website domain?

Sealrep allows it but shows a warning, because problems with cold email then reach the domain your normal mail uses. Many senders use a separate domain they own. Sealrep checks either one before a campaign starts.

will Sealrep read my whole inbox?

No. It keeps only replies, bounces and auto-replies to emails it sent. Other mail is checked in memory and never stored.

can Sealrep give me a mailbox or a domain?

No. Sealrep does not sell, buy or warm mailboxes or domains. You connect mailboxes you already own.
