How much does appointment setting cost?
Appointment setting is priced four ways. Pay per meeting runs about $300 to $600 for each qualified meeting that actually happens, in SalesHive’s July 2026 guide. Retainers are quoted per client; Belkins lists a starter price from $5,000. Revenue share is usually 10 to 30% of first-year revenue. An in-house SDR costs more per meeting.

The four ways it is priced. Each from the firm that sells it.
Every figure below comes from a company that sells the model it describes, so each one is a vendor claim. They are quoted as shown on 2 October 2026; prices can change, and your quote depends on your market and deal size.
What you are paying for. Booked, held or qualified.
Belkins splits pay per appointment into three tiers. Pay per scheduled: "You pay the moment a lead agrees to a time", the cheapest and the riskiest. Pay per held: "You only pay when the prospect actually joins the call." Pay per qualified held: "You pay only when the prospect shows up and meets your pre-agreed ideal customer profile."[2]
SalesHive’s guide gives the test a qualified, held meeting should pass: the prospect attends, fits written profile criteria and stays for a minimum length, such as 30 minutes. It says "No-shows, cancellations, and off-ICP bookings are not billable", and that a vendor usually gets 14 to 30 days to rebook a no-show.[1]
A low per-meeting price usually means a looser definition. Compare quotes only after you have written down, for each one, whether you pay at booking, at attendance or at qualification.
One month, priced four ways. Example figures, not a quote.
Say an agency wants eight qualified, held meetings in a month. These are example figures built from the published ranges above, not prices anyone has quoted us.
- Pay per meeting at $450, the middle of SalesHive’s range: 8 × $450 = $3,600.
- Hybrid at a $2,500 base plus $225 a meeting: $2,500 + 8 × $225 = $4,300.
- Retainer from Belkins’ published starter price: $5,000 or more, whatever the count.
- In-house SDR at SalesHive’s fully loaded "$9,800-$14,200 per month".
- Revenue share at 20%: a client worth $24,000 in its first year costs $4,800. Example figure.
The cheapest line on paper is not always the cheapest month. Under pay per meeting the agency carries the risk of a slow month and prices that risk in; under a retainer you carry it. Under revenue share both sides have to agree, in writing, which deals the partner sourced.
Questions to ask before you sign.
- What exactly is a billable meeting? Get the definition of a qualified, held meeting in writing.[1]
- Are no-shows, cancellations and off-profile bookings free, and how long do they have to rebook?
- Is there a monthly cap, so a good month does not break your budget?
- Who writes the emails, and in whose voice? Belkins says it analyses your materials "to capture your brand’s voice".[6]
- Whose domains and mailboxes send? Belkins: "We finalize your email domain and begin the warm-up process for outreach."[6] Ask who owns them if you part ways.
- Can you start with a short pilot instead of a long minimum term? Belkins lists long commitments without pilots as a red flag.[2]
- Does every booked meeting land in your CRM with its source, so revenue can be attributed?[1]
The software route. You approve; the buyer books.
Software does not replace the judgement an appointment setter brings, and someone on your side still approves messages and takes the calls. What changes is who keeps the thread and how you pay: a monthly plan instead of a fee per meeting.
Sealrep is one example. It researches buyers, drafts outreach in your voice and sorts the replies. Nothing is sent until a person approves it: one email at a time, or a whole sequence at once, with undo before each send. When a buyer wants to talk, the reply draft offers two times and your booking link, and the buyer books. There is no per-meeting fee and no commission: see pricing and Does Sealrep book meetings for me?.
If you would rather someone else runs outreach end to end, an agency is the honest choice. Sealrep vs an appointment setting agency sets the two side by side.

Questions people ask. Answered straight.
how much do appointment setters charge?
Published ranges run from about $300 to $600 per qualified, held meeting (SalesHive) up to $600 to $900 for high-quality agencies (Belkins), or a retainer from $5,000 a month (Belkins). All are vendor claims read on 2 October 2026.
what is pay per appointment lead generation?
You pay for meetings instead of emails or leads. Belkins defines it as paying "for the moment a prospect agrees to meet with you", with tiers for scheduled, held and qualified held meetings.
is pay per meeting cheaper than a retainer?
Not always. The agency takes the risk of a slow month and prices it into each meeting. Compare a month at the number of qualified, held meetings you actually need, under the definition in each contract.
do I pay for no-shows?
It depends on the contract. SalesHive says no-shows, cancellations and off-profile bookings should not be billable and that vendors usually get 14 to 30 days to rebook them. Pay-per-scheduled contracts charge at booking.
