Sealrep vs an appointment setting agency: billed by the meeting, or a plan you run
An appointment setting agency writes and sends outreach for you and bills by the meeting or by the month: SalesHive’s own guide puts a qualified, held meeting at $300 to $600,[1] and Belkins lists an average starter price from $5,000.[4] Sealrep is software you or your client approve, with no per-meeting fee and no commission.

An appointment setting agency and Sealrep, topic by topic.
An appointment setting agency runs outbound for you and hands over meetings. The ones named on this page describe themselves in their own words: Belkins offers “Lead generation and appointment setting services”,[4] CIENCE “builds qualified sales meetings through managed SDR teams”,[5] Callbox “books sales meetings with real decision-makers”,[6] and SalesHive is “The B2B sales agency that books qualified meetings”.[2]
| Topic | An appointment setting agency | Sealrep |
|---|---|---|
| Who writes | They do, for you. Belkins: “We thoroughly analyze your marketing and sales materials to capture your brand’s voice.”[4] | Sealrep drafts each email in your voice, or your client’s, from approved facts. Nothing is sent until a person approves it: one email at a time, or a whole sequence at once, with undo before each send. |
| How it bills | By the meeting, by the month, or both. SalesHive: “a normal price for a qualified, held meeting through a reputable pay-per-meeting vendor is $300-$600”; CIENCE lists SDR services “From $5,600 per month”.[1] | A monthly plan plus credits, shown on the pricing page. No per-meeting fee, no commission. |
| What is promised | Belkins’ plans list yearly appointments (100+, 200+, 30+) and its appointment setting page shows “100 guaranteed appts/year” at its average starter price.[3] | No meetings or clients are promised. You see what happened in a results ledger, with verified, confirmed and self-reported kept apart. |
| Mailboxes and domains | Belkins: “We finalize your email domain and begin the warm-up process for outreach.”[4] | Any mailbox you own that offers SMTP and IMAP: Gmail and Google Workspace with an app password (it needs 2-Step Verification), Zoho, Fastmail or your own host. Microsoft 365 mailboxes wait for Microsoft sign-in, which is coming soon, because Microsoft no longer accepts passwords for IMAP. Google sign-in is coming soon too. Sealrep does not sell or warm mailboxes. |
| Who owns the leads | Belkins: “You own all the leads we find for you, and we outline this in our agreements”.[4] | Your workspace, your contacts, your threads. Payment links go to your own Stripe. |
| Calls | Many run calling too: Belkins lists intent-based cold calling; SalesHive’s SDRs run cold calling and email.[3] | No calls. |
| Terms | Each firm sets its own: SalesHive says there are “no setup fees and no long-term contracts, and you are billed only after you approve the strategy”; Callbox says its “core model is subscription-based”.[2] | A monthly plan; the free trial needs no card once your request is approved. |

Are lead generation companies worth it? It depends on your deal size and your time.
SalesHive, which sells this service, does the sum this way in its own guide: an in-house SDR team “often lands at $821-$1,150 per meeting once fully loaded costs are included”, against $300 to $600 for a qualified, held meeting from a pay-per-meeting vendor.[1] Those are a vendor’s numbers, not ours.
An agency is worth it when nobody on your team can run outreach and a meeting is worth far more to you than its fee. It is a poor fit when you want to see every email before it goes out, or when your offer is small enough that a $300 meeting eats the margin. Sealrep cannot tell you a cost per meeting: it is priced by the month, and it has no customer results to show yet.
Questions to ask any agency. The answers decide what you are paying for.
- What counts as a meeting? Booked, held or qualified, and who decides it was qualified.
- Who writes, and in whose voice? Will you see each email before it goes out?
- Who owns the domains, mailboxes and threads when the contract ends?
- What happens to no-shows and to meetings you reject?
- What do the cancellation and refund terms say, and is there a minimum term?
- What do you report, and can you see the raw activity behind it?
Pick the one that fits how you sell.
Choose an appointment setting agency if
- You want someone else to write, send and book, and you only take the meetings
- Your deals are large enough that a per-meeting fee is small next to them
- You want cold calling as part of the outreach
Choose Sealrep if
- You or your client want to see and approve what goes out in your name
- You want no per-meeting fee and no commission
- You sell an offer a buyer can say yes to in an email, and want the payment link in the reply
- You want to see every number behind the results
What Sealrep does not do.
Sealrep will not run your outreach for you. Someone on your side approves the emails, sends on LinkedIn and takes the calls. If nobody on your team can read and approve the drafts each day, an agency that does the work is the better fit.
Questions people ask. Answered from their pages and ours.
how much does appointment setting cost?
From the firms’ own pages on 2 October 2026: SalesHive’s guide puts a qualified, held meeting at $300 to $600, Belkins lists an average starter price from $5,000 and CIENCE lists SDR services from $5,600 a month. See how much appointment setting costs.
what is pay per appointment?
You pay a fee for each meeting instead of a monthly retainer. DealForce says “Pay only when meetings happen”; SalesGent says “Only pay for meetings that are held”. Ask what counts as a meeting before you compare prices.
is Sealrep cheaper than an agency?
We cannot say per meeting: Sealrep is priced by the month, not by the meeting, and has no customer results to show yet. Compare its plan on the pricing page with the agency’s quote, and count the time someone on your side spends approving and taking calls.
